Honda Unveils New ASIMO Robot. ASIMO, the self-balancing, walking bipedal robot is actually the latest in a long line of similar Honda robots, that began in 1986 with one named EO. The company has also created several versions of ASIMO itself, along with multiple copies of each, to the point that there are currently over 100 individual ASIMO robots in existence. Well, as of today, none of those can any longer be considered state-of-the-art. Gecko inspired robot has no problem climbing sheer vertical walls. Researchers, from Simon Fraser University, have developed a tank-like robot that has the ability to scale smooth walls, opening up a series of applications ranging from inspecting pipes, buildings, aircraft and nuclear power plants to deployment in search and rescue operations.

The car, presented on September 12, 20011 at IAA Frankfurt fair, will be produced in a limited run of 150 numbered units and will be available upon request in the historically suggestive “Rosso Mars”.
